EN 10084 Grade 16MnCr5 European standard covers Plain carbon case hardening steel for parts with a required core tensile strength of 600 – 800 N/mm_ and good wearing resistance as piston bolts, camshafts, levers and other vehicle and mechanical engineering components. Suitable for direct hardening. Pipe will be supplied in 5-7 metre random lengths with butt-weld ends and varnished to avoid oxidation of the steel when in storage. All pipes are fully certified and traceable with heat numbers hard stamped onto each random length.
